Corporate Communications seeks to enhance and protect Goldman Sachs’ culture, brand and reputation by communicating the firm’s strategy and priorities. The team comprises Internal Communications and Media Relations.

Internal Communications supports leadership's commitment to informing, inspiring and engaging the people of Goldman Sachs. Our key focus areas include understanding our audience; creating and distributing engaging content; providing consulting services to our divisions to help them with their messaging needs; governing the firm’s internal communications channels; and measuring our reach.

The Media Relations function helps protect and enhance the reputation of Goldman Sachs through engaging and communicating with members of the media, promoting the firm’s businesses and supporting their strategic initiatives.

The Culture Strategy Group drives firmwide strategic initiatives to emphasize the culture of Goldman Sachs through global programming, messaging, multimedia, and integrated content. The team also supports service recognition initiatives and the firm’s historical archives.

The Firmwide Strategy and Investor Relations team drives progress on the firm’s strategic priorities by working with business leadership to source, evaluate, and execute organic and inorganic strategic initiatives, in order to better serve our clients and deliver value for our shareholders. The team also works closely with senior leadership to shape the firm’s external engagement with equity and debt investors, research analysts, rating agencies, credit counterparties and ESG-focused stakeholders.

The unified Global Marketing organization at Goldman Sachs is a business-critical function seen as core to delivering against the firm's growth strategy. The firm is focused on building a data and technology enabled team of growth marketers, delivering value for the brand and the business.

The Executive Office (EO) component of the organization consists of six Centers Of Excellence: Brand Strategy, Paid Media, Strategy and Operations, User Experience and Digital Design, Content Marketing and Brand Marketing. In addition to driving firmwide marketing efforts, these teams work closely with function-specific marketing teams, who are connected horizontally to EO marketing leaders in order to form the unified function. Together, the team collaborates to build a unified, scalable and consistent approach to marketing the firm's brand and its offerings. The mission of Global Marketing is to be a demonstrable force multiplier for the businesses we serve.

The Office of Alumni Engagement’s (OAE) mission is to deliver an enhanced experience for the 100,000+ former employees of the firm, spanning across more than 100 countries, many of whom are serving as leaders in business, government, the arts, educational institutions and philanthropic organizations. The OAE is responsible for connecting GS alumni to the people and thought leadership of the firm, as well as to the broader alumni community to drive commercial outcomes, facilitate networking and business collaborations.

The Office of Government and Regulatory Affairs promotes constructive relations with governments and regulators, and advances a public policy agenda to benefit the firm.

The International Management team’s primary function is to support the leadership of Goldman Sachs International, whose responsibilities cover all of the firm’s businesses outside of North America. The team supports leadership in a number of ways: developing and delivering their client engagement strategy; executing strategic initiatives; preparing analysis, presentation material and management reporting; and supporting the firm’s governance in the regions.

The Office of Applied Innovation utilizes the firm’s expertise to broaden geopolitical engagement, synthesize that engagement into insights for our businesses and clients, and partners with divisional colleagues to create new commercial ventures to harness opportunities in emerging technologies.

The Office of the Chairman oversees internal and external key strategic initiatives across the firm, including Goldman Sachs’ communications and investor, government, community and client engagement. Within the Office of the Chairman, the Client Strategy Group works closely with Goldman Sachs executives to prioritize and organize their interactions in support of these initiatives.

The Office of Corporate Engagement leverages our capital, people and innovations to help address economic and societal challenges, catalyze markets and transform communities.

Pine Street helps prepare partners and select managing directors to lead the firm's next generation of people and businesses, and to advance the firm's culture. Pine Street's programming, coaching, and assessment initiatives engage partners, select managing directors and key clients at critical points in their development to help accelerate their growth and enhance their ability to capitalize on the most important opportunities for the businesses and teams they lead.

The Sustainable Finance Group is responsible for partnering with the firm’s businesses to drive sustainability-related commercial activity. This includes helping to deliver leading expertise and capabilities to our clients across sustainable growth themes, and driving innovation. The Sustainable Finance Group also engages with the firm’s people and many of the firm’s external stakeholders on sustainability.
